Buddhi heavily textures his canvases with multiple layers of gesso, often mixed with sand or marble dust. He then models and scores the surface with palette knives. Multiple layers of oil paint are applied and when nearly dry are cut back and rubbed to an aged patina. Highlights and shadows are added by brush or the artists bare hands.
Buddhis subject matter varies widely, from evocative figures, to avant-garde abstracts.
