Sudarsa’s style is unique to his village. Similar to illustration, his compositions are fully drawn and shadowed before color is applied. Acrylics thinned to a watercolor transparency are then added in multiple applications. Highlights in gouache are added last and give his work unique dimension.

Sudarsa’s subject matter is drawn from the flora and fauna of his native Bali, where each living thing is filled with spirit.
